What the app is

Watcher is a personal app for tracking your daily balance and transactions. It is a personal organisation tool, not a substitute for any financial or banking service or advice.

Your financial data stays on your phone

Your balance, transactions, sources and wallets are stored locally on your phone only. We never receive or keep any copy of it on any server, and never sell or share it with anyone.

Anonymous usage statistics

To improve the app we collect anonymous usage statistics only (fixed event names such as "balance added" or "transaction edited") via Google Firebase Analytics. These never include amounts, names, or any text you typed.

Crash reports

When an unexpected error happens, a technical report (error type and code path) is sent via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix it. These reports never include your financial data.

Advertising

The app shows ads via Google AdMob to fund its free development. This service may collect device identifiers and ad-interaction data under Google's own advertising policies. See Google's ads policy for details.

The suggestion box

If you choose to submit feedback from within the app, what you typed — along with your name and email if set — is sent to our server solely to respond to you. This only happens if you use that feature yourself.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Neither the app nor its developers are liable for any financial decision made based on its data, or for data loss from deleting the app or changing devices.

These terms are governed by the laws in force in the Arab Republic of Egypt. We may update these terms from time to time; an update takes effect once published.
